Zandru's Forge
This is the story of how Varzil the Good and the Compact came to be. It's also Hawkmistress Romily's story from another point of view. It's a little too long, like DJR novels of Darkover tend to be, but it's fine. I was genuinely happy for Carlo when he rode back into Thendara with his army.
