I hate hate hate the winter and never feel like leaving the house. Then along comes May and all of a sudden there are a million things I want to do outside of the comfort of my own (or Eric's) home.
The second Library Journal zine reviews column is up. In it Miriam DesHarnais of the Baltimore County Public Library Zine Collection reviews comics zines, aka "mini-comics" or "minicomics."
Radical Cataloging: Essays at the Front, edited by K.R. Roberto, which is coming out this summer now has its Table of Contents online. My article, which I'll sooner or later post here in its pre-print version is "AACR2—Bendable but Not Flexible: Cataloging Zines at Barnard College."
I'm trying to clean out my inbox, close Firefox tabs, and in other ways organize my life. I've still got like 15 open tabs, but here are five I managed to close after writing a little summary about them:

The print version has a cover image of Sugar Needle. The online links to a couple of the zines' websites. Other than that I think the online is comparable content-wise.
I'm attending and likely presenting at three conferences this spring, and I'm excited about each one in a way I rarely do about certain giant conferences that meet in such asinine places as Anaheim, California.

Comp zine call out: Bursting Like a Pomegranate
I want to start a compilation zine of writings about relationship stuff that people don't feel comfortable publishing under their own names.
Here are my plans, more or less, for the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia (note sorry to anyone reading this via RSS who gets this entry again every time I update it):
The Lower East Side Librarian Reading Log is also coming soon to a mailbox near you. The reading log is part of the Winter Solstice Shout Out and also a standalone publication that mostly goes to family members instead of the Shout Out, and when I'm especially neurotic, to friends, as well.
It's reviews/descriptions of all the books I've read between December 2006 and December 2007. ...
