BJ1286.S42
The work being cataloged is about developing one's self-confidence, and takes a somewhat Jewish perspective on the issue. The proposed number puts self-confidence into an ethics hierarchy, which is incorrect. Instead, the general number for self-confidence as an emotion, BF575.S39, may be appropriate. If classification with Judaism is preferred, a number for self-confidence as a special topic of practical Judaism may be resubmitted.
I wonder what a "somewhat Jewish perspective" is on developing one's self-confidence. Sentences like this one, "The proposed number puts self-confidence into an ethics hierarchy, which is incorrect. Instead, the general number for self-confidence as an emotion, BF575.S39, may be appropriate." make me want to dissertate.

150 Beatboxing [May Subd Geog] [sp2013001922] (C)
550 BT Vocal music
550 RT Singing
I love when LCSH is hip.
In case you're curious…
The scope note for Vocal music is "Here are entered collections of vocal music of various types, including sacred works, secular works, solo vocal music, works for chorus, works with and without accompaniment; etc. Collections of a specific type are entered under headings such as [Cantatas; Choruses; Choruses, Sacred; Community music; Masses; Songs; etc.]." Singing is not listed as a related or broader term.
Singing does not have a scope note. Its variants are Singing and voice culture and Voice culture. Voice culture has no scope note either, unfortunately.
150 Bundles of personal belongings CANCEL HEADING [sp2003008955]
682 This authority record has been deleted because the heading is covered by the subject heading Personal belongings (sh 85100103).
They changed their mind on Bundles ten years after establishing it. There aren't any records in LC or Worldcat with the Bundles of heading anyway. Were they already changed? Or did they never exist?

150 Egg gathering--Law and legislation [May Subd Geog] [sp2013002172] (C)
550 BT Agricultural laws and legislation
Sadly the warrant is about gull eggs, not Ivy League women's ovaries.
From Columbia Wikischolars page.
150 Gays, Black [May Subd Geog] [sp2013002417] (C)
450 UF Black gays
150 Lesbians, Black [May Subd Geog] [sp2013002418] (C)
450 UF Black lesbians
While I'm excited about these additions, I wouldn't mind a scope note or discussion of African-American gays and lesbians.
Here's the scope note under Blacks,
"Here are entered works on blacks as an element in the population. Theoretical works discussing the black race from an anthropological point of view are entered under [Black race.]
"Works on black people in countries whose racial composition is predominantly black are assigned headings appropriate for the country as a whole without the use of the heading [Blacks.] The heading [Blacks] is assigned to works on such countries only if the work discusses blacks apart from other groups in the country."
150 Invisible inks [May Subd Geog] [sp2013002305] (A)
450 UF Security inks
450 UF Sympathetic inks
550 BT Ink
550 RT Writing, Invisible
This seems juvenile and silly to me, but the warrant is the very serious and fancy Prisoners, lovers, and spies : the story of invisible ink from Herodotus to al-Qaeda by Kristie Macrakis, published by Yale University Press.
