The Cultivate Diversity database is a nifty tool from the Ocean County Public Library in New Jersey. You use it to find program and collection ideas for different service populations, by community, age group, or difficulty (amount of work it takes to produce).
Communities served so far include ethnic populations, people with disabilities, and GLBTQ. There are also staff training projects.
Metadata fields are: program (name), ingredients, directions, notes, community, age group, difficulty, relevant links, submitted by name and email, library, and date.
Very cool! And you can make it even better. Add your program now!
fyi I learned about this at the Rutgers symposium at which I presented with Valerie Bell, who I believe is the founder of this initiative.

Yes, very cool, although I wish you could browse it, too -- especially since I kept getting error messages instead of search results.

That is a drag! But you can totally browse it, though maybe not in the most intuitive way.
Since there isn't all that much content yet, I just hit Search, with no criteria and got the full list. Same goes with picking a community (or age group or difficulty level) and that was my browse.
I just tried a search on a word I knew was in there, "rice" and got one result. Try that, and if it doesn't work, then there's something funky going on.
