This is me immodestly promoting two events at which I'll be speaking. One of them specifically asked me to, so I'm not entirely betraying the library code of anonymous servitude. The first is the NY Art Book Fair, where Alycia Sellie, Susan Thomas, and I will be talking about zines in libraries. The second is the LACUNY Institute on Library Leadership TNG. I'm on a "graying of the profession" panel in the morning, and my friends Emily Drabinski and Jason Kucsma are on a NexGen panel in the afternoon, plus some of my colleagues from Columbia will conduct a poster session. Huh. So it looks like in librarianship less than a decade separates "graying" and "NextGen." It's like "The Graduate," where Ann Bancroft was actually only 6 years older than Dustin Hoffman...
