Roomies

EB from the Jersey shore and Lauren from San Francisco are paired as roommates at UC Berkeley and spend the summer before their first year of college getting to know each other via email. Their relationship isn't far from the formulaic meet, get, lose, get back, but I was still charmed by it. I don't remember much from my last summer at home, other than being jealous of my best friend because she had a boyfriend, and I didn't. Still, I relate that feeling that everything is about to change and feeling happy and not happy about that at the same time.

Both characters are likable and admirable. Their love interests are a little too good to be true, but it still works.
