I was drawn to this book because of the lesbian power couple at its center. I missed the part where they're parallel to the MacBeths. I was engaged in the beginning when the tension was high and the potential strong, but even at just over 200 pages, I felt the book took too long to get to its inevitable conclusion. I feel the same way about Shakespeare, so maybe it's just me.
Still, it's nice to see a YA book with queer characters (not just the power couple), characters of color, class consciousness, and a lead with a disability.
