Did you know you can't buy ebooks on Amazon without One Clicking them? Soooper annoying. I ended up buying this book (it was for class, so I couldn't wait for a library hold to come in) from iTunes. I hate to say it, but I love the iBooks reader. It's the best ereader I've used, and I've currently got SIX ereader apps installed on my tablet. Damn you, Apple!
So the book. Lots of good stuff, but I'm such a toxic intersectional feminist lefty that I'm like "whatever white guy. Can we talk about racism, now?" I mean, his twenty lessons are pretty good for white guys, but they aren't particularly...warm? They're from a guy who is righteous scared and angry, sure, but there isn't acknowledgment that not all people have the same freedoms to react, defend, and fight. Plus he uses "he" as his default pronoun, which I can't even. He's maybe making a point that tyrants are generally men, but like I said, I can't even.
