This is an important story, one of a homeless teen, Linden, living in her school, getting by as best she can, with no one but maybe a nursing home staff member knowing her secret. I didn't Love it, but I still recommend everyone read it unless there's a lot more out there on homelessness for young adults.
Our protagonist is an orphaned white girl, who fled her the scene of her mother's murder and after losing her grandma, too, decided to make a family of her two best friends: dudes called Ham and Seung. There's a lot packed into the story: popularity, partner abuse, race, class, homosexuality, romance, and the prom.
