Let me get my identity politics out of the way first. I'm annoyed that the Night Bookmobile librarian is a dude, just like Niffenegger's Time Traveler librarian. Male librarian overrepresentation in media makes me want to pop my librarian bun. The books in the book mobile are largely white-male authored, too, with a "Black History" text thrown in for diversity.
Other than those personal irks, this graphic short story about a book lover goes in an unexpected and provocative direction. It's a quick read, so I won't tell you anything else. You can view the whole thing on Niffenegger's gallery.
Except to comment on the art. It's bookshelf like!
