Jo and Josie Byrne are teenagers growing up in Bowie, Maryland. That is, in two Bowie, Marylands. Josie is a physics nerd (Jo, not so much), and with one of her besties determines it's a Brane Multiverse deal. There's a lot of talk of quantum this and that that I suppose may be plausible, but I wouldn't recommend readings 3:59 for the science. It's a compelling book with likeable characters, but the conceits, like that there's a portal that opens at the same time twice a day, independent of the length of the day and whether or not it's daylight savings time, are problematic.
