Bucknell and Monti collect mixed-race themed science fiction/dystopic stories, some of which also feature queer characters. Sounds good, right?
For me it sounds better than it is. I skipped about half the stories (including the one by Ursula K. LeGuin, so know that your experience may differ) because I just wasn't that into them. My lack of enthusiasm for the anthology should be contextualized by the fact that I don't love short stories to begin with, so again, your results may differ. I do like works about mixed race, though and other experiences of being other, so it's not like I expected not to love the book.
