I read this book while in the process of packing up the apartment I lived in for the last ten years. I needed something that was...easy. Industrial Magic, like it's prequel went down easy. I still find narrator Paige Winterbourne a little middle-aged for a 23-year-old, but the story is damned absorbing.
This time the fusty young witch and her bf are investigating serial murders targeting teens associated with powerful sorcerer families. A key player is famous necromancer Jaime Vegas and Elena Michaels from the first two books in the series has a cameo.

Whoa, what is up w/that
Whoa, what is up w/that cover??? Kind of grody. I like the crappy boring one on the version I read.
I can't remember, but have you read the book where Jaime is the main character? (Obviously I can't remember the title & am too lazy to Google, but as obviously you'll know if you've read it) I like Jaime a lot--only partly b/c who can't identify w/feeling like all your friends have the really cool powers & you're stuck w/the stupid psuedo-talents?

I haven't read the Jaime one
I haven't read the Jaime one yet. I think Eve's story, Haunted, is next in the sequence. I'll probably keep working my way through them even though they're not the greatest. The new Rachel Morgan book is coming out soon, btw! Or maybe it's even out already.
