I'm resurrecting my Librarian Crush series due to the crushworthiness of Celina Williams. (That link is to her blog. She's also on Instagram and Twitter).
From Celina's Facebook gallery
I'm crushing on Celina because in addition to being a kickass library lady, she is a primary force in two essential Richmond, Virginia projects: Girls Rock RVA and the Richmond Zine Fest.
I met Celina through zines, as she participated in zine librarians unconferences in Pittsburgh and Durham, NC. She dazzled me with her non-showy brilliance, wisdom, and kindness. But, my rule for librarian crushes is they have to be librarians who do more than just librarian well.
Celina has been involved with Girls Rock since the second of its now five years. At first she was a volunteer, but since the third year she's been among the projects four or five organizers and is now focusing her energy on outreach in local lower income POC and LGBTQ communities.

She's been helping run the Richmond Zine Fest for even longer, six or seven years and says she wants "to plan zine fest with the other organizers until my fro is completely grey."
Celina is currently working in a public library, but the bulk of her experience, and perhaps her passion is in archives and special collections, working with comics and zines at Virginia Commonwealth University since her undergrad days. She earned her BA in English and Women's Studies at VCU and her MLIS at the University of North Texas.
Celina makes the zine Mean Girl, so titled because she was called mean as a child, perhaps due to having a "good resting bitch face." She's currently researching a Kim Kardashian Hollywood Game themed zine. I have yet to see any of Celina's zines, but I've seen her cat Edgar in the centerfold of Zine Librarian Pets #2, and that's pretty hot.
