As I said last time, I'm getting a little sick of this exercise, so I'm going to try an abbreviated version. I'll just pick one LCSH from each weekly list and dub it the Lower East Side Librarian LCSH of the Week. Week 4 of 2010's winner is:
150 Cookery, Spanish—Extremaduran style [sp2010000079]
COOKERY was declared almost dead by Catalogablog in September, based on a revision from our friends at the Library of Congress. Another document released in January confirms the change, with a target implementation of May/early June 2010. We'll be watching.
Honorable mentions:
Ecofiction
Followership
Intersex athletes

I'll confess that the magic is wearing off for me as well, but ... but ... can't you get an intern or something? Isn't there an up and coming future librarian who'd like to guest write the weekly LCSH column?

An LCSH Watch intern is an interesting idea. Any takers???
In the meantime, keep an eye on Tricia Burmeister's Visualizing the LCSH posts on her delightfully dorky blog.

Jenna, if you're seriously
Jenna, if you're seriously looking for someone to help out with this, I'd be interested in delving into the weekly LSCH lists. Drop me an email and we can discuss more!
