LCSH Week 23: of Bat republics, salt boxes, and lady ethnobotanists

Having just cataloged the latest Figure 8, I'm re-cranky right now about the lack of a heading for FAT POWER, or FAT ACCEPTANCE MOVEMENT, not to mention SIZEISM.

Just so you know where I'm coming from.

I dedicate the following segment of this week's LCSH Watch to Barnard Slavic studies professor Rebecca Stanton, since our Facebook friendship informs me that she's recently returned from Georgia, which apparently is a Bat Republic. I'm curious about the politics of SOUTH CAUCASIAN vs. TRANSCAUCASIAN, cuz I'd hate to think they're being transphobic!

Personally, I'd like to see some RTs, but why should a library catalog compete with Wikipedia for usefulness? And come on, BT BOXES? As far as I can tell, SALT BOXES have nothing to do with BOXES.
