Here are my highlights for the last week or three.

It's progress, though still leaves much to be desired:

Of course it's great that LC has provided a subject heading for sizeism, or as some might prefer, fat oppression, but you'd have to have typed one of the above terms into a subject search to find it a cross-reference to the sanctioned heading.

(I know I pick on tools a bit, but that's not because I dislike tools or hardware, it's just that I'm amazed that LC can be so specific about instruments with funny names and yet refuse to acknowledge that researchers might want to distinguish between at least distinct feminist movements. But that's because they're serving Congress. How many women are even in Congress? (Per the Inter-Parliamentary Union as of 12/31/2007, 16.8% in the House and 16% in the Senate.) So maybe they're within their mission to blow off feminism...
