Thanks to Eric Goldhagen this site is now Backdrop powered. It took us (him) most of the day to migrate the site from Drupal 6, having to update to Drupal 7 before making the move. I'm looking forward to figuring out how this new user-centric CMS works.
I already prefer Backdrop's much more intuitive admin panel to Drupal's but am still hunting around for things.
They also have a cute mascot, which is less creepy than <a href="https://www.drupal.org/files/druplicon-small.png">Drupal's ominous drop</a>.
