This is the first book in a trilogy about Joanne Baldwin, who has the power to control the weather. It's a completely absorbing book with a lusty heroine and an ending that genuinely surprised me. She's a little too into cars for my taste, but most people are.

Yeah, given how into cars
Yeah, given how into cars she is it's funny how much I like those books (btw--not a trilogy! I think there are like 5 or 6 so far w/more coming--I thought the more recent ones were weaker but the most recent was surprisingly compelling). But I am a big weather nerd, so that helps a lot.
I'm glad you enjoyed Popco, btw! I keep recommending it to people but I am v. afraid that everyone will hate it. I don't feel like everyone has to have my exact taste in books, of course, but it's always sad when I adore a book & a friend either ends up hating it or being lukewarm.

Derrr...where did I get the
Derrr...where did I get the idea it was a trilogy? Well glad to have more books to read, anyway.
Weather nerd? I had no idea! That's so...nerdy!
I think it helps to be a certain kind of nerd to really appreciate PopCo, but even though I'm not particularly that kind of nerd I really liked it. People who don't are just silly.
Just kidding. To each hir own, but I do enjoy that you and I have pretty similar taste.
btw It's kind of interesting that a lot of paranormal fiction heroines seem to be more of the brassy/hot car school than the smart bookish types. More Buffy (as she is in the movie more than the tv show) than Willow, you know?
