A lonely girl who moves a lot and has a wacky mom meets a lonely boy with a distant dad and a missing twin. But refreshingly, this isn't a teen romance novel. There is some romantic tension and jealousy, but really this book is about the friendship between the two of them.
It's not the most gripping novel, not in that hungry, page-turning way, but you definitely care what happens. The characters are unusual, unique even.
My only complaint, which isn't that big a deal is that the book itself is overdesigned, with pink numbering and pink pages with white writing in between sections. The pink copyright page is hardly legible.
